What’s new and trending on your socials?

Following initial launches of LinkedIn Stories in Brazil, The Netherlands, UAE and now also Australia, we’d love to believe that SA is next!
These stories will pretty much function the same as FB and IG stories with stickers, frames and tools to decorate your story. What’s different is the security. When you first access LinkedIn Stories, you will be prompted to check your privacy settings.

LinkedIn provides three alternatives on this front - when you view a Story, the

Story creator will see either:

  • Your name and headline
  • Private profile characteristics (title and most recent education institution or company, if applicable)
  • Private mode (anonymous)

So, you have the option to view stories anonymously. These stories have received some criticism that it doesn’t fit with the professional platform it’s meant to be. However this is the way that the next generation is communicating. So when it’s our turn to try it out, let’s see how it will change or become a new platform to connect with your target audience.

What is your opinion of the launch of LinkedIn Stories? Are you excited?
